DEATH TAKES MRS. LEONARD, SHEFFIELD NATIVE, AT 78

"ANNAWAN - Mrs. William (Cora) Leonard, 78, of R. 1, Prophetstown, was dead on arrival at Kewanee Public Hospital at 10:40 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, 1975. She had been staying with her great grandchildren in Mineral when she became ill and was taken ti the hospital by the Sheffield Rescue Unit.

Mrs. Leonard was born Sept. 1, 1896 in Sheffeild, the daughter of John and Helen Wilsey Hale. She married Stanford Brown in 1912 in Davenport, Iowa.

She later married Mr. Leonard in Wisconsin in 1956. He preceded her in death in January of 1967.

Surviving are a son, Gilbert Brown of Prophetstown; a daughter, Mrs. James (Isabel) Nelson of Prophetstown; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a brother, Jim Hale of Chicago, and a sister, Mrs. Louis (Hilda) Winget of Alexis.

Mrs. Leonard was preceded in death by her parents; second husband; a daughter; two brothers and a sister."
