Mother Martha Louise Flagg Dickerson was born to the late Elder George Thomas Flagg and Ida Brown Flagg on October 24, 1925 into a family of four sisters and two brothers. She departed this earthly life February 12, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. Two brothers (George and James), and one sister (Loyce), preceded her in death. She was a longtime resident of Memphis and attended Manassas High School.

Mother Martha accepted Christ at an early age in a revival conducted by the late Elder Utah Smith. She was a member of Pentecostal Temple Church of God In Christ under the leadership of Bishop J.O.Patterson, Sr. during her early years growing up in the Church of God in Christ.

Mother Martha was united in holy matrimony to Elder E.E. Dickerson on December 15, 1946. She worked diligently to support his ministry as Pastor of the New Chicago Church of God in Christ. To this union, one daughter was born, Mother Gloria Jean Dickerson Rodgers.

Mother Martha leaves to mourn her passing her loving husband of 66 years, one daughter (Bishop Charles Rodgers), four grandchildren; Pastor Adrian Rodgers (Susan), Victor Rodgers (Miko), Pastor Carlos Rodgers, Sr. (Wendy), and Allison Rodgers, ,ten great grandchildren, three great, great grandchildren, three sisters: Mother Elvie Owens, State Supervisor Maddie F. Porter, and Mother Lillie Jones, sisters-in-law and brother-in-law. Also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren and friends.
