Charles Frederick Bruns III, age 68, of Manteca, passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2007. Charles graduated from Manteca High School and was the FFA president in 1957. He later attended Modesto Junior College and joined the National Guard for five years. He was the owner of CF Bruns Hay Transportation for over 30 years. He later drove for Gary Keylon Trucking until he retired in July 2007.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Barbara Bruns; children, Charles Bruns IV, Sherri Jory and Scott Bruns; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 16, 2007 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home, Manteca. The service will be on Monday, September 17, at 11:00 a.m. at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home. Final Resting Place: Park View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to, Hospice of San Joaquin, 3888 Pacific Ave., Stockton, CA 95204.
