Active in the community, Linda was a former member of the Heath United Methodist Church, Past Matron and Member of Wroena Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, and formerly active in the Buckeye Lake Eagles Auxiliary. In 1985 Linda was appointed Grand Representative of Ontario in Ohio, Eastern Star and she and Jack traveled extensively while she served in that capacity. Following Jacks retirement, they went on 11 Cruise vacations. She also enjoyed watching OSU sporting events.
She is survived by her loving family: sons Aaron (Tessa Elder) of Heath and Mark (Terre) of Heath; along with her grandchildren, Chad (Samantha Cormican) and Lindsay (Eric) Lee; her great-grandchildren Jameson and Carter; brother-in-law, Gary Ledbetter, and his sons, Scott and Randy, also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jack on April 7, 2019; her sister ZoeAnn Ledbetter; a niece, Tami Ledbetter; and she and Jack’s beloved canine companion “Roscoe” who, as Jack’s seeing eye dog accompanied them everywhere and was very well known throughout the community.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 12, from 1-3 p.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, 179 Granville Street in Newark where funeral services celebrating her life will follow at 3:00 p.m. Wroena Chapter Order of Eastern Star will convene a chapter of sorrow at 2:45 p.m. for OES Funeral Services.
Graveside services will take place on Saturday, March 13, in the Minnich Cemetery, Union, Ohio, where Linda will be laid to rest with her beloved husband Jack.
