"Clayville---Mrs. Florence M. Sessions, 84, of Crooked Hill Rd., a resident of this area for more than 50 years, died yesterday in a Utica hospital after a long illness. She was born in Waterville, Sept. 13, 1875, daughter of William J. and Sarah Jones Brown. As a girl, she moved with her family to Utica schools. She was married to William M. Sessions of Whitesboro, June 13, 1895. They resided in Utica several years before moving to Clayville. Mr. Sessions died Feb.. 19, 1955. Mrs. Sessions was a member of Christian Missionary Alliance Church of Utica. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Martin Vey of Clayville, Mrs. Joseph Berthold of Sauquoit; three sisters, Mrs. Ada Bevan and Mrs. Bertha Brission of Utica, Mrs. Evan R. Jones of Riverside, Calif.; several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at 2 Monday from the Francis W. Fisk Funeral Home, 220 Oneida St., Chadwicks, with the Rev. Frederick Spence, pastor of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Memorial Gardens. Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 tomorrow and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Sunday." [Daily Press (Utica, NY), Friday, April 8, 1960, p. 31]
