Suggested edit: "Death of Mrs. Susan Allen
Mrs. Susan Allen, relict of the late Cyrus Allen of Dunham, died at the home of her son-in-law, F. M. Hills, at Villa Grove, Colorado, Sunday evening, January 27, 1901, aged 89 years. Her body will be brought here, and funeral held at the Allen school house to-morrow (Saturday) afternoon at 1. Rev. W. Adelbert Billings officiates. Mr. Allen died several years ago and was buried in the Dunham cemetery, and her remains will be placed by his side and the side of some of their children.
Mr. and Mrs. Allen were the parents of quite a large family of children, of whom only two--Judge Chas. Allen of Chicago, and Mrs. F. M. Hills of Villa Grove, Colorado,--now survive. Her home for a number of years past has been with Mr. and Mrs. Hills, where she enjoyed excellent health for one of her years. For some time past she has been gradually failing and the end came, not unexpected, as a release from physical suffering. Deceased was a sincere Christian and died in hope of a glorious immortality."
