Bobby “Bob” Ray Parker, 73, of McAlester, departed this life on Friday, March 5, 2021 in Tulsa.

Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday, March 8, 2021 at Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Bishop Chapel of Memories officiated by Rev. Michael Moore and Rev. Jim Lawrence. Cremation will follow.

Honorary pallbearers will be Garrett Parker, Gauge Parker, Josh Dungan, Christopher Dungan, Jaxon Parker, Rowland Dungan, and Bobby Jay Parker.

Bobby was born on February 1, 1948 to Fay and Doris (Beshear) Parker in Blocker, Oklahoma. He attended schools in Blocker and Arroyo Grande, California. He served in the U.S. Army.

Bobby married Connie Dee Watson on March 30, 1982 in McAlester. Bobby worked with his brother, Leon, operating the Parker Concrete Company in McAlester when he was younger. He worked for the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant for 25 years, retiring in 2008.

Bobby enjoyed plain country living and especially enjoyed fishing, hunting, raising cattle, family cookouts (because he loved to eat!), and telling stories whether they were true or not!

He was preceded in death by his parents: Fay and Doris Parker; his paternal and maternal grandparents; his father-in-law; brothers: Eugene Parker, Leon Parker; sisters: Mary Ann Pappas, Brenda Cooke; brothers-in-law: Frank Pappas, Mike Cooke; and sister-in-law: Joyce Parker.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 39 years: Connie of the home; daughter: April Dungan and husband, Robert of McAlester; sons: Raymond Parker and wife, Heather of Crowder; Aaron Parker and Katrina of Checotah, Justin “Peeper” Parker and wife, Keitha of McAlester; grandchildren: Joshua Dungan, Christopher Dungan and wife, Jazmyne, Garrett Parker, Gauge Parker, Carmen Parker, Bobby Jay Parker, Jaxon Parker, Morgan Kaye Parker, Kyra Dee Parker, Megan Labor; bonus grandchildren: Codie Mae Thurman, Aeris Thurman; great-grandchild: Rowland Dungan; mother-in-law: Jannie Watson of McAlester; brother: Clayton “Fess” Parker and Annette of McAlester; sister: Patsy Zachary and husband, Homer of Sapulpa; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
