A U.S. Army Air Force veteran, Mr. Prince served during the WWII era. Raymond was retired from North American Rockwell (formerly Draper Corporation) as a cost accountant. Previous to that position, he worked for US Soil Conservation. He was a graduate of Spartanburg High School and Cecil's Business College. A member of Ben Avon United Methodist Church, United Methodist Men and also served as the church treasurer, and as an usher.
Survivors include his son, Russell Ray "Rusty" Prince (Pat Moxley) of Greenville, SC, his daughter, Janet Prince Suttles (Roy) of Spartanburg, SC, two grandchildren, Christopher David Suttles (Shelley) and Jonathan Brian Suttles (Lauren), great grandchildren, Graham Walker Suttles, Emerson Leigh Suttles, Lillian Kate Suttles, and Ray Thomas Suttles, and his brother, Terry Prince (Margaret) of Fort Myers, FL, and his longtime loving caregiver, Annette McDowell.
The family would like to give special thanks to his nurses, Amanda from SC House Calls and Ginger and Brandy from Agape Care.
A Cryptside service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by The Rev. Jones Brewer.
Guests are requested to wear masks and observe Covid protocols.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ben Avon United Methodist Church, 2360 Avondale Dr, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
