Washington,Ind – John Lengacher, 75, died at 12:15 a.m. Friday at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis. He was a retired farmer and a member of Zion Amish – Mennonite Church.
Surviving are his wife, Viola: four daughters, Verna Wagler of Odon, Elizabeth Swartzentruber of Washington, and Rose Swartzentruber and Marilyn Knepp, both of Montgomery: five sons, Glen, Delbert and John jr., all of Loogootee, and Joe and Ben, both of Odon; four sisters, Lydia Raber of Montgomery, Anna Wittmer of Odon, and Marie Stoll and Viola Kneep, both of Loogootee; 30 grandchildren three great-grandsons; and two step-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Zion Amish-Mennonite Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. To 9 p.m. Until service time Sunday at the church. Gill Chapel is handling arrangements.
