Mr. George E. Sasser, age 57 of Powder Springs, formerly of Warner Robins, died May 30, 2011. In 2009, George retired from the City of Atlanta Fire Department. He is preceded in death by his son, Greg Sasser, and brother, Jeffrey Sasser. George is survived by his wife of 33 years, Margaret Norman Sasser; sons, Alan and Steven Sasser; parents, Talmadge & Hazel Sasser of Warner Robins; sister & brother-in-law, Pamela & Shane Busbee of Willacoochee, GA; and special family friend, Lucille "Mema" Kelley. The family will receive friends at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home in Austell on Thursday from 4 – 7 PM and also on Friday at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Warner Robins, from 4 – 7 PM. The burial will be private.
