Born March 8, 1946, in Buchanan County, VA, she was a daughter of the late Stevie and Pearl VanDyke.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-eight years, Bob Dunford; sisters, Hazel, Beulah, and Gracie; brothers, Ira, Buford, and Dillard.
She is survived by daughters, Lesa McKinney and husband, Matt of Morganton, NC, Chere Dunford and companion Steve of Lenoir, NC, and Tina Asbury and husband, James of Catawba, NC; sister, Daisy Mae Bogle of North Tazewell, VA; grandchildren, Zack and wife, Audrey, Michael, Nick, Belle, Josie, and Jasmine; great-granddaughter, Layla; and her cat, Peaches.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Saturday, March 6, 2021, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Thompson Valley, VA where graveside services will be conducted at 2 PM with Pastor Terry Ritchie officiating. Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home of Tazewell, VA is serving the family.
