Mrs. Clara Smith, Calvary Baptist Church Member
Mrs. Clara Lillian Smith, 79, of 5906 Cedar parkway, Chevy Chase, Md., died in Beebe Hospital in Lewes, Del., this morning.
Mrs. Smith was the widow of Arthur Smith, a retired farmer who died in 1926. Her daughters, Mrs. Everett Flood of the Cedar parkway address, is the wife of the owner of Flood Pontiac Co. here.
Mrs. Smith was born in Bladin County, N.C., and had lived here about 50 years. She had been a member of Calvary Baptist church since 1913.
She also leaves two sisters, Miss Rita Smith of Clinton, N.C.; a brother, Arthur Smith of Bladin County, N.C., and three grandchildren.
Services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at Pumphrey's Funeral Home in Bethesda with burial in Parklawn Cemetery in Rockville, Md.
