Annette Rose Weaver, beloved wife for 58 years of Frankie "Butch" Lynn Weaver, passed peacefully August 9, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital Downtown in her 79th year. She was born in Lexington County to the late Grady Cyrus Smith and Virtilla Lenora Roberts Smith. Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Randal Wayne Weaver of Greenville; daughters, Joni Marie Weaver Gillis (James MacNeil Gillis) of San Francisco, CA and Wendy Anne Weaver Cantey (Mark Richards Cantey) of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren William Grady Weaver, Bradley Michael Weaver, Brendan MacNeil Gillis, Emma Lenore Gillis, Michael Bryant Cantey, and Jackson Bryce Cantey; sister, Olivia Smith Whittle (Roy); brother, Hubert Cyrus Smith; sisters-in-law, Happy Miller and Linda Leigh Vaughn; and brother-in-law, James Clifton Weaver. She was preceded by a son, Michael Robert Weaver. Mrs. Weaver retired from Winn Dixie Stores, Inc. where she served as an administrative assist in the Company's real estate department and was a faithful member of The Lutheran Church of Our Savior. She was active in many charity and philanthropic endeavors. One of her most enjoyable pastimes was gardening and spending time with family and friends. Throughout her life her devotion to family and strong faith was evident to all who knew her. Memorial Service Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 10 a.m. at The Lutheran Church of Our Savior. The family will greet friends immediately following the service. Burial in St. Matthews Lutheran Church Cemetery, Lexington at 3 p.m. Saturday, August 15, 2015.
