Loren Joseph Dreiling, 69, died February 25, 2021, at his home. He was born February 15, 1952, in Hays, to Norbert F. and Laurine M. (Dreiling) Dreiling.

Loren attended Victoria High School. He spent his entire working career as a truck driver for various companies, before retiring from Chris Truckline, Wichita. Loren enjoyed fishing, playing softball, bowling, and anything to do with cars and motorcycles. He was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

On December 12, 1980, he married Rebecca Pennington, in South Hutchinson. She died March 11, 2005.

Loren is survived by: faithful companion, Cindy Boor; stepchildren, Aimee Oliver and Eric Day; siblings, Elaine Clouse (Joe) of Kingman, Mike Dreiling (Karen) of Schulte, Roy Dreiling of Wichita, Tom Dreiling of Schulte, Rodger Dreiling (Doris), Galen Dreiling, all of Hutchinson, Mary Koehler (Conrad) of Great Bend, Tim Dreiling (Kim), Duane Dreiling (Denise), Mark Dreiling, all of Hutchinson, Jerry Dreiling (Brenda) of Pfeifer, David Dreiling (Vickie) of Great Bend, Paul Dreiling (Angie) of Goddard, Neal Dreiling (Penny) of Great Bend, and Norine Hamby (Todd) of Hutchinson; Cindy’s children, Heather Turner and Kevin Hauschild (Emily), all of Hutchinson; Cindy’s grandsons (who Loren loved as his own grandsons), Easton and Kutter Hauschild and Carson and Mason DeBerry; Cindy’s siblings, Rick Miller, Mike Miller (Cindy), Soni McClelland (Ken), Mark Miller (Michelle), all of Hutchinson, Tauni Manka (Bob) of Great Bend, and Mitsi Dale (Ronnie) of Hutchinson; four step-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and his beloved buddy, Bella.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; sisters-in-law, Marlene Dreiling and Vera Dreiling; and nephew, Travis Dreiling.

Parish Rosary will be 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 5, 2021. For those unable to attend Friday evening, a Parish Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 2021. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 2021. Both Parish Rosaries and the Mass will be held at St. Teresa Catholic Church, 211 E. 5th, Hutchinson, with Father Michael J. Maybrier officiating. The casket will remain closed. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary. The family will greet friends following the Friday Parish Rosary at the church.
