Maurice William Bender, 76, of rural Wellman died Friday, October 12, 2007 in his home.
Memorial services were Monday, October 15, in Lower Deer Creek Mennonite Church, rural Kalona. Burial was in Lower Deer Creek Cemetery.
Mr. Bender was born April 17, 1931 in Parnell, the son of Leroy and Ida Bender.
He was united in marriage to Jean Brenneman January 1, 1952 in Kalona.
Mr. Bender was self-employed for more than 40 years in the refrigeration service business.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Bender of Wellman; two sons, Ken and wife Brenda Bender of Wellman and Mike and wife Jennifer Bender of Bloomington, Illinois; two sisters, Pauline and husband Don Yoder of Streetsboro, Ohio and Loretta and husband Jerry Yoder of Kalona; and three grandchildren, Carlie, Dillon and Jeb Bender.
Memorials may be directed to Crooked Creek Christian Camp, Washington.
