Roger C. Lemaster, 55, of Keokuk died Tuesday, May 17, 2005, in Keokuk Area Hospital.

He was born on Oct. 3, 1949, in Keokuk, the son of Walter C. and Katherine Howe Lemaster.

He married Marlene Michelle Foglesong on Sept. 6, 1975, in Wayland, Mo. She survives.

Additional survivors include: his mother, Katherine Lemaster of Keokuk; two sons, Brandon Lemaster and his wife, Sara, of Keokuk, and Nathan Lemaster, also of Keokuk; two sisters, Sandra Jingst and her husband, Ted, of Warsaw, Ill., and Cheryl Luft of Keokuk; his mother- and father-in-law, Harold and Marjorie Foglesong of Kahoka, Mo.; and aunts, uncles, many nieces and nephews and brothers and sisters-in-law.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jessica Lemaster; his father, Walter Lemaster; and grandparents.

He graduated from Keokuk High School in 1968. He joined the United States Army in August of 1968 until August 1971 and faithfully served his country during the Vietnam War. He was awarded the Purple Heart and Silver Star. He had been employed at Metzeler Automotive as a maintenance mechanic for 36 years. He was a member of a nondenominational church. He was a member of URW Local 444, the Fraternal Order of the Elks and the VFW.

He enjoyed playing golf, watching all kinds of sports, especially his sons playing in sports, and was a loving husband, father and friend and cherished the time he spent with his family.

Services will be at 2 p.m., Friday in Vigen Memorial Home, Keokuk, with Barry Barkley and Mark Peters officiating.

Burial, with military rites, will be in the Chambersburg Cemetery, Chambersburg, Mo.
