John Thomas Marquis
      John Thomas Marquis was born March 22, 1922 to Rex and Jessie Marquis in Ontario Oregon.
      He graduated from Vale High School, and Attended University of Nevada-Reno.
      He served in the U.S. Army from March 1943 through March 1946. He trained as an aerial gunner.
      He married Aileen Gheen on August 24th 1947. They raised three daughters on their ranch near Vale, Oregon.
      He enjoyed the outdoors taking his family on trips all over the west and British Columbia. He was a horseman all his life, from driving horse-drawn mowers on the Alvord Ranch as a teenager to having his pride be joy American Saddlebred Bandit On Parade.
      He was preceded in death by his wife Aileen Marquis, and his grandson John Judy.
He is survived by Katherine (Carl) Judy of Vale Oregon, Marikyn (E. Scott) Paul of Shoshone Idaho, and Carol (David) Moran of London, England grandchildren Tonya (Bryan) Lanspery of Raleigh N. Carolina, with great grandson Quinn, and Bill Judy of Nampa Idaho, with great grandchildren Cayla and Charlie.
      Services will be at Lienkaemper Chapel in Ontario at 1 pm on Saturday April 25, 2015.
