Obituary for Helen Marie Guillot
Helen Marie Guillot, 85, of Vidor, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at, Oakwood Nursing Home, in Vidor.

Born in Orange, Texas, on December 21, 1935, she was the daughter of Calvin Clarence Block, Sr. and Della (McDonald) Block. Helen was a dedicated hard-working woman, she worked in the Levingson Shipyard as a Welder for a time. She loved to play games with the kids, some of her favorites being Bingo, Dominos, and Old Maid. Helen was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She brought happiness to all those who had the pleasure to know and love her and will be greatly missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Della Block; daughter, Kathy Lowe; sisters, Edna Pearl Montgomery, Juanene Lofton; brothers, LC Block, Donald Block; and grandson, Danny Lowe.

She is survived by her son, Jimmy Hill and wife Janette, of Dayton; daughters, Janet Atkinson, of Houston, Nancy Sanchez and husband Joel, of Spring, Peggy Sheppard and husband Mike, of Terrell, Cindy Ansley and husband Dave, of Vidor, Mitzi Greenwood, of Vidor; sister, Sheila Lister, of Kissimmee; brothers, Jerry Block, of Vidor, Calvin Block, Jr., of Woodville; 20 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers are James Hill, Jason Hill, Adam Lowe, Joey Lowe, Frankie Laughlin, Tyler Ansley, Geoffrey Pratt, and Dakota Greenwood.

Cremation will be held by Claybar Kelly-Watkins Funeral Home.
