Mrs. Rix was a member of First United Methodist Church in Richmond and served as a Sunday school teacher, operated the American Red Cross in Richmond, Etta Zeta Pi, Church Women United, American Cancer Society, Richmond Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, Thursday Afternoon Bridge Club, former secretary of the American Legion Auxiliary and former Cub Scout den mother and for many years was known as the Stamp Lady in the Richmond schools and along with her husband were grand marshals of the Richmond Good Old Days parade. She is survived by her husband, Leroy; sons, Thomas of Columbus and Timothy of Richmond; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Rix was predeceased by her brothers, Richard and Robert Zryd; and a sister, Ruth Gurley. Services were held in First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Reed Swanson officiating. Arrangements were made by Rewalt Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Burial was in Richmond Cemetery.
