Alan A. Lyons, 69, passed away surrounded by his family on February 12, 2021. Born in Liverpool, England and the youngest son to the late Edward Lyons and Florence (Short) Lyons. He is survived by his daughter Christina Lyons of Rockland, MA and his son Jonathan Lyons and wife Ashley Lyons of Abington, MA. Brother of Dennis Lyons and the late Brian Lyons. Grandfather of Josiah Lyons and Jonathan Lyons, Jr. Also survived by many loving relatives and friends in the US and England.

Alan served in the US Army before starting a career as a machinist at Pneumatic Scale. Raising his children in Weymouth, you would find him standing on the side lines at every soccer game and attending every dance recital as he loved spending time with his children. Alan enjoyed being with the family camping in New Hampshire almost every weekend during the summer months. He had the gift of gab and interacted with many people he met. He also enjoyed many of life's simple pleasures, bowling, golf, fishing and being with family and friends. Alan enjoyed watching action movies, going out to breakfast, and always indulged in his multiple cups of tea a day. He always looked forward to his trips home to England to visit with family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, 2/21/21, from 2pm – 5pm. Due to COVID concerns, a limited number of visitors will be allowed inside at one time. A private burial will be held on Monday, 2/22/21. Flowers can be sent to Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home in Rockland
