Steven "Steve" Lewis Ray, age 59, of Pierce City, MO passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at his home in Pierce City, MO. Steve was born in Monett, MO on Saturday, January 20, 1962; the son of Ralph and Helen (Green) Ray. Steve went to Pierce City School. He liked fishing, mowing, and repairing lawn mowers. Steve enjoyed working with his Dad at the Pierce City Cemetery as they mowed, cleaned, and kept it looking nice. Steve also took care of Jolly Mill Cemetery.

Surviving are the following: his dad, Ralph Ray of Pierce City, MO; two brothers, David Ray of Wheaton, MO and James Ray of Pierce City, MO; and two sisters, Debbie Nevills of Pierce City, MO and Susan Ray of Monett, MO.

Steve was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Ray in 2015 and two sisters, Rachel King in 1995 and Neoma Ballard in 2017.

The family will receive friends at Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 from 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Graveside services will be at Pierce City Cemetery in Pierce City, MO on Thursday, February 25, 2021 beginning at 2:00 PM with Pastor Doug Gripka officiating. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO
