Sharleen Robison died peacefully at home, February 19, 2021 with family at her side and under the compassionate care of Kindred Hospice. She was born December 26, 1934, in Springfield, Illinois, the daughter of Ruth (Rogers) and Cloyce (Dutch) Grove. Shar met the love of her life, Harry Robison Jr., while in junior high school and they were married, August 9, 1953 after she graduated from Springfield Feitshans High School. Their love story lasted another 54 years until Harry’s death.

From 1954 to 1956, Shar worked as a long-distance call timer at Illinois Bell Telephone Company. Following the births of their two daughters, Tracy and Kelly, she assumed the role of proud stay-at-home mom. During those years she enjoyed her participation as a school room mother, Girl Scout leader, vacation bible school teacher, and Jane Addams elementary PTA member. Once both girls were enrolled in school full-time, she returned to Illinois Bell and worked as a front desk teller until her retirement in 1990.

During most of her retirement years, Shar enjoyed bowling in the Friday Senior Bowling League, volunteering with the Telephone Pioneers of America, wintering in Arizona, and was deeply involved with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. More recently she and her high school friends had reconnected for monthly luncheons where they would reminisce and laugh at days gone by. She was a member of Bunn Park Christian Church for several years eventually transferring to West Side Christian Church.

Sharleen is preceded in death by her husband, Harry; her parents (Ruth and Dutch Grove) and parent-in-laws (Rose and Harry Robison Sr.); brother, Kenneth Grove; sister, Nola DeMeuse; Brother-in-law, William Robison; and Sister-in-law, Viola Clingan Fishwick.

She is survived, and will be greatly missed, by daughters, Tracy (Jim) Morstad and Kelly (Mike) Felix; grandchildren, Andrea (Brit) Parks, Alex (Christina Warner) Morstad, Aaron (Mary) Felix; and Erin Morstad Subialka; great-grandchildren, Logan Mercer and Sloane Felix; Brothers, Steve Grove, Larry (Carol) Grove; Sister, Karen Hart; Sisters-in-law, Helen Robison and Linda Cedillos; Sister-by-choice, Marilyn Tate; multiple nieces, nephews, and friends.
