Albert (Bert) was born June 2, 1932, in Le Loup to Lewis C. Jones and Ruth M. Jones. He married Patricia I. Yakle Oct. 2, 1952, in Wellsville. They shared nearly 55 years of marriage. Patricia passed away on July 25, 2007.
Albert worked as a Nitrator at the Sunflower Munitions plant before serving in the United States Army 16th Infantry Regiment from 1953 to 1955 attaining the rank of corporal. He retired from the United States Department of Labor in downtown Kansas City after more than 30 years of service.
Survivors include son, Darrell and Tami Lasseter, of Raytown, Mo.; son, David and wife, Delores, two granddaughters and one grandson of Ottawa; sister, Velma, and husband, Carl Rochester, of Eudora. His beloved wife, parents, two brothers, and two sisters preceded him in death. His sister, Alice Keeney of Ottawa, passed away two days after Albert.
