Jennie was a native of NE KY. Jennie and her husband are reported to have married in Martin County KY on Oct 17, 1900, and then emigrated by wagon to Bartlesville OK accompanied by her brother, Millard Kirk.

By combining the records of the 1920 & 1930 censuses, he and his wife Jennie Kirk had 4 children as follows -

Louis Fenwick, son - b 1902
Thomas, b.1905?
Wilda Kirk, daughter - b 1907
John F., son - b 1910

Her father was James D. Kirk of WV, aged 55, and her mother was Mahala Canfield/Coffield/Caufield Kirk.

James D Kirk was a 1st sergeant, Company I, 39th Kentucky Regiment (Union), during the Civil War. This regiment was raised in Lawrence County and Martin County.

Her grandfather, Captain Joseph Marcum Kirk, was in the same regiment.
