Sarah E Williams Stone b. March 26 1826
Mother: Alice Lewis Williams
Father: John B Williams

Sarah came to Mo. with her Father,Mother and Sister Armala. I don't know if there was more family. They came with two other familys. Rev. Thomas Henson and Son Zachariah, he married Sarah's sister, the other family was Elijah Todd. This was Christmas day 1835. William Tilford Stone and wife Martha Haley Stone came at the same time. They settled at the mouth of Flat Creek and James River. But later Sarah's father Moved about a mile up Flat Creek to build his Mills, the water was swifter and there were caves that they mined bat droplings that was used in making gun Powder. He started a grist mill, cotton mill,Powder mill, distillery and a store.
Sarah married John Hillard Stone Dec 18, 1841 16 yrs old.
They made their first home at Virgin Bluff, 2 mi S. of Cape Fair. Then they moved to Flat Creek. Sarah and John had 12 children.
Sarah was a Great Mother and person. Anyone that raised 12 children should get the (Mothers Medal of Honor). Making her own cloth, and making clothes for her family. She got the food on the table, eating wild turkey, small game, fishing and raising food in a garden. Thats a tough row to hoe in anyone's book.
Sarah had a freekish accident falling and breaking her hip died from complications. She was 86 yrs old. She was buried at Cape Fair Cemetery.
