Ida Dora Aldred, age, 95 of Sheridan, passed away on Tuesday morning, April 22, 2014, at the Masonic Home in Franklin, Indiana. Born February 27, 1919 in Hamilton County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Homer and Ethel Stanley Hensley. Dora graduated from Fortville High School and Central Business College. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for Diamond Chain, Central Supply and Curtis Dyna Product. She later retired from Conner Prairie, where she was a volunteer and worked in the Gift Shop. Dora was a homemaker and a very loving mother and grandmother. On November 2, 1944, she married Raymond Horton Aldred, who preceded her in death on January 6, 1985.

She is survived by her son, Michael H. Aldred and wife Rebecca of Sheridan; her daughter, Victoria Aldred Buzash of Greenwood; one sister, Helen Elizabeth (Hensley) Grosskopf of Dallas, Texas; three grandchildren, Amy Mosbaugh Rabon (Steve) of Sheridan, Wyoming, Andrew Michael Aldred (Amy) of Angola, Indiana, Diana Elizabeth Aldred of Sheridan, Indiana and five great-grandchildren, Reed Rabon, Gabriella Rabon, Mia Rabon, Ellory Aldred and Quinlan Aldred. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings, Carl Hensley, Sarah Hensley Stout, Harold Homer Hensley and grandson Matthew Aaron Aldred. Cremation has been chosen and a Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date.
