Mrs. Beatrice Evans, 89, 155 S. Main Ave., died Tuesday in Community Medical Center after an illness. Her husband, Bert W., died several years ago.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Morgan, she was a member of the First Welsh Baptist Church, its women's societies, Sunday school, choir and the Welsh Women's Society of Lackawanna County and the Craftsman Club auxiliary.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Jane Lloyd, Scranton, and Mrs. Margaret Jenkins, at home; five grandchildren, 13 greatgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Friday from the Davies and Jones Funeral Chapel, 135 S. Main Ave., with services in First Welsh Baptist Church at 2 p.m. The Rev. Theodore Davis and the Rev. Brian R. Butler will officiate. Interment, Washburn St. Cemetery. Viewing, today, 7 to 9 p.m.; Thursday, 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
