Carl E. Argabrite, 79 of Parkersburg, passed away February 18, 2021 at his residence. He was born July 27, 1941 in Parkersburg, a son of the late John H. and Theo Buskirk Argabrite.

Carl was a U. S. Army veteran and a retiree from the Wood County Board of Education with 30 years of service. He loved being on the river, watching western movies and riding horses. He enjoyed drawing pictures of people and was very talented at drawing. Carl loved travelling with his late wife, family and friends.

Surviving is his daughter Carla Argabrite, son Carl "Clinton" Argabrite, three grandsons: Joshua Argabrite (Sarah), Carl "Casey" Argabrite II, and Joseph Argabrite, two great granddaughters: Parker and Alexandria Argabrite, brother Charles "Chuck" Thornton (Clara) and his loving dogs, Mica and Tuffy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Joanna L. Bailey Argabrite, sister donna Jean Argabrite and sister Shirley Argabrite.

Funeral services will be Tuesday 2PM at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Frank Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 12-2.
