Paul was a proud veteran of The United States Army. He was a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University and earned his Master's Degree in Biogeochemistry from UT Dallas, TX. He worked as a District Geologist for the Bureau of Land Management in Cedar City, UT, where he enjoyed living in the mountains, and all the recreational opportunities on his doorstep there.
Paul enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and bowling. He also enjoyed listening to the music of Merle Haggard and Johnny Cash.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sister, two sons, and three grandchildren.
A memorial visitation will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Home.
