FRANKLINTON - Rosalie Thomas Ball Heine was born on Christmas Day in 1923 to Rev. M.C. "Buck" Thomas and Ada Toney Thomas. She passed away on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2006.
Survivors include her children: Robert Ball of Watson, Jeanie and Billie Hackney of Folsom and Kaye and Ed Ladner of Franklinton; grandsons: Shevis and Margaret Ball of Denham Springs, Cole and Tra Ladner of Franklinton, and great-grandson Hal Asen Ladner and step-grandson Travis Hackney of New Orleans. She is also survived by her sisters: Ruthie Mae Thomas, Alberta Kennedy, Margaine Tynes and Lucille Thomas and brothers: J.M., Mack and Berkley Thomas.
She was preceded in death by her son, "Lucky" Ball and great-grandson, Robert Blake Ball, her first husband and father of her children, Robert "R.F." Ball and her second husband, Walter Heine. Also preceding her were her parents, Rev. Buck Thomas and Ada Thomas and stepmother Doretha Thomas; her sister, Lizzie Hines, and her brothers: Seamon, Cully, Willie, Lloyd, Marcus, Silas, Paul and Dalton Thomas.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at 2 p.m. in the chapel at Crain Funeral Home at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2006 with Rev. Gene Richards and Elder Duane Ball presiding. Burial will be in Acy's Creek Cemetery.
