He married Julia Ann Kennedy, 14 Oct 1856, in Hancock County, Illinois. They had at least three children, Charles Thomas Eaves, Lucius Leslie Eaves, and William H. Eaves.
According to his U.S. National Cemetery Interment Control Form, [William] Thomas Eaves was a Private in Company B, 7th Missouri Cavalry, during the civil war. The interment form indicates that he was originally buried in Tyler, Texas.
The U.S. Burial Registers, Military Posts and National Cemeteries, indicates that he died 15 July 1864.
The U.S. Civil War Pension Index to Pension Files for Eaves, Thomas, alias Eaves, William T., indicates that his widow, Julia Ann Eaves, (nee Kennedy) filed a pension application # 96557, and was granted pension certificate # 94684.
