Mrs. Parkinson, Former Pope School Official, Dies
GOLCONDA, Ill, Dec 6 (Special) - Mrs. Belle S. Parkinson, 80, former school teacher and Pope County school superintendent, died Thursday at 9 am, at the home of her daughter in Duluth, Minn. Mrs. Parkinson served as superintendent of Pope County schools for an eight year period (1933-41). Funeral and burial arrangements are incomplete. Services will be held in Minnesota. Mrs. Parkinson is survived by her sister, Mrs. Ressa Phelps, Golconda, Ill.; and the daughter with whom she resided, Mrs. Violet Curtis, Duluth; one grand daughter and two great grandchildren.
