Born May 24, 1934, in Dayton, he was the son of William and Oriel Adams.
He was preceded by his wife, Barbara Long Adams, on April 10, 2015.
Charlie retired from R&L Carriers and had driven for McLean Trucking. He also worked at Mac Tools, Farm Bureau, Littleton Funeral Home, and enjoyed his retirement years driving for Fisher Family Farms. A longtime member of the Clinton Co. Antique Power Club, Charlie loved flying as a pilot and most anything to do with airplanes. He and Barbara enjoyed traveling to Florida for many years.
He is survived by children: Cindy (Mark) Garen of New Vienna and Rick (Connie) Adams of Wilmington. Also left to cherish his memory are grandchildren: Steve, Travis (Erika) and Kevin (Hannah) Garen, Mike (Michele) and Brian (Amanda) Adams; 12 great grandchildren; along with in-laws: Dorothy LaPine, Carol and Irvin Pollock, Sue Long and Barbara Long.
In addition to his wife, Charlie was also preceded in death by a son, Randall Lee Adams, in 1979.
