George Punt, a freight conductor on the Boston & Maine Railroad, passed away suddenly at his home in North Walpole Friday night.

George was well known along the line from Brattlesboro to Windsor. Every man, woman and child liked him.To his wife he was kind and indulgent husband and the railroad employees found him to be ever pleasant and a loyal comrade.

George was an honoured member of the Knights of Pythias, Odd Fellows, and Order of Railroad Conductors.

George had been confined to his home since Christmas from injuries received from trying to board a freight train at Cleremont Junction.

His sudden demise was a great shock to his family and friends. He owned his home at North Walpole and his wife worked in the Racket Store as a clerk. His in--laws, Mr. and Mrs. Barker resided with him.

Services were held on Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. with a large gathering of family and friends as well as Delegates from the different lodges he was a member of and friends from Windsor.

Respectively Yours,
