Catherine Lucille Simoneaux Autin, on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 entered into eternal sleep at the age of 83.

Beloved wife of the late Murphy J. Autin, Sr.

Mother of Celeste Autin (Alesia), Tammy A. Alexie (Benny), David C. Autin (Deborah), and the late Murhpy J. Autin, Jr. (Cheryl).

Daughter of the late John and Julie Simoneaux.

Sister of Eddie Simoneaux (Iris). Sister of the late Vivian S. Cavalier who raised her from the age of 12 years, Ida T. LeBlanc, Elaine T. Blanchard, Pierre Theriot, Alvin, Philippe, Mary Louise and Adeleine Simoneaux.

Grandmother of David, Jr., Matthew, Stacey and Jonathan Autin, Christy A. Heitmeier (Brian), Ashley Resnick, Ariadni A. Velasquez, Ashley Alexie (Joseph), Brooke Alexie (Stephen), Benny “BJ” Alexie, Jr. Great grandmother of Logan, Abby, Sophia, Mariah, Landon, Cameron, Riley, Ryanne, Brinley, Curry and the late Dax. Survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Godmother of Linda C. Roos, Jerry Simoneaux and Michael Melanson.

Thanks to the special people who had an impact on her life Anita Fauries, Gary Lamonte, Vera DeJesus, Randy St. Pierre, Beverly Galliano and Lynda Bishop.

She and Murphy, Sr. ran the family business Murphy’s Welding Works for 36 years. She will be remembered in our hearts forever and never will be forgotten by many that have known her as Maw-Maw Cat.

She had the love of baking her famous Rainbow Chip cookies, cooking Sunday dinners, watching Saints games and spending time with family and friends. She was a strong lady with a Big Heart. She will be greatly missed.

Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 1:30PM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Visitation will be on Saturday at 8:30 AM until service time.
