Joyce (Cole) Shipley, 75, unexpectedly passed away at her Centerville, Utah home on Tuesday, 9 February 2021.

Joyce was born in Preston, Idaho on 2 April 1945, to Willard Wayne and Gwen Alta (Brown) Cole. She was one of their six daughters and raised in Whitney, Idaho on her family's farm.

Walking out of band class one day when she was an eighth grader, she met Richard Shipley, who became the "love of her life". Following graduation from Preston High, Class of 1963, Joyce attended LDS Business College while waiting for her missionary to come home. She and Richard married in the Logan Utah Temple on 17 December 1965. Their marriage was blessed by the addition of six children.

Joyce raised the children, was a confidant and worked as secretary and filled any other hole in the family's quickly-growing business.

She loved tagging along when Richard traveled with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

She never complained, was often quiet in the background, had a heart of gold--the epitome of a pure heart, truly an angel on earth; and now, an angel to watch over us.

Prior to living in Centerville, Richard and Joyce lived in Farmington, Utah for more than thirty years, and in Bountiful, Utah before that.

Joyce truly was the heart of her home. She loved canning, making fruit leather and pie fillings from the many fruit trees on their land. Her greatest joys were being with her children and grandchildren with whom she enjoyed making memories at their family's cabin. She was referred to, lovingly, as "Bubbles" because of her delightful disposition and contagious laugh. She let each grandchild know he was adored through her actions, texts and shared quotes.

Joyce loved chocolate and always kept a secret stash. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints she had served in various callings and capacities.

Joyce was always thinking of others, had a heart of gold and was one of the nicest people you could ever have met---truly angelic. Her heart was pure and she loved deeply. Her family and friends miss her cheerful, loving personality. With Joyce, you always knew you were loved, welcome, cared for, and would be well fed.She is missed, deeply.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was predeceased by her daughter, Maree Shipley and her sister, Glenda Coburn.

Left to cherish her memory are Joyce's sweetheart, Richard Shipley, of fifty-five years; children, Debbie (Lincoln) Dygert, Donna (Shawn) Brock, Doug (Shayla) Shipley, Julie (Dan) Stephenson, and Wayne (Emily) Shipley. Also surviving Joyce are eighteen grandchildren, Cameron, Casey, Chante, Colby, Erika, Gabe, Gavin, Geneve, Hailey, Jordan, Justin, Karen, Katelyn, Maura, Misty, Quinne, and Seth, four great-grandchildren, Henley, Lucy, Norah, and Seoul; and Joyce's four sisters, Bonnie (Keith) Budge, Diane (Gene) Purser, Marilyn (Jerry) Junk, and Sharlene (Scott) Barner; along with numerous extended family members and friends.

Private funeral services or immediate family and interment in the Farmington Cemetery were held on Saturday, 13 February 2021 and streamed live on Russon Brothers' Mortuary at 10 A. M.
