HIGH SPRINGS - Funeral services will be held here at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning for Captain James P. Banks.
Rev. Patrick J. Doyle of Gainesville will officiate at the mass to be held at the Saint Sophie Magdaline Catholic church here, and the DeWitt C. Jones Co. of Gainesville will be in charge of arrangements. Interment will be at the High Springs Cemetery immediately after the mass.
Surviving Captain Banks, who died in an airplane crash on July 17, 1943 while serving with the Air Force in New Guinea, are his father, Sidney Banks, his mother, the former Miss Sadie Paul; a sister, Miss Betty Banks and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Paul, all of High Springs. Also surviving are an aunt and cousin, Mrs. John Stewart and daughter, Florence, both of Gainesville.
