KINGSLAND - Betty Joan Robertson, age 80, of Kingsland, Texas, passed away Oct. 8, 2007. She was born Nov. 16, 1926, in San Pedro California to Homer and Callie (Hooper) Rook. Mrs. Robertson married Jess (Jake) Robertson in 1949. He preceded her in death in 1991.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Carol Bohrn, and sister, Dorothy Byard.
Mrs. Robertson owned and operated Hair Design Academy in Plainview from 1970-77. She later became an LVN in 1981 and moved to Kingsland, Texas, in 1986. She worked in nursing in Plainview, Amarillo and in Kingsland.
Mrs. Robertson is survived by three daughters, Sharon Robertson of Kingsland, Texas, Debra Reynolds and husband Robert of Amarillo, Texas, and Letty Fry and husband Brad of Lubbock, Texas; two sisters, Vivian Bauhof-Suter of Austin, Texas, and Lela Rook of Plainview, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
