Mr. A. R. Lennon, 75, for 50 years a resident of this section, passed away Tuesday morning at his home near here.

Abner R. (Al) Lennon

Funeral services for Abner R. (Al) Lennon, 75, who passed away on his farm at Monitor Tuesday, were held in the Holman & Hankins chapel Thursday afternoon, with Dr. F. L. Lehman officiating. Miles Burleigh sand "Shadows" and "Benediction." The pallbearers were Westly Edward, Will Staley, John Armstrong, Bob Wilson, Richard Friedrich and Perle Selby. Interment was in Mountain View cemetery.



Mr. Lennon was born November 20, 1854, crossed the plains when he was three years of age, settling in Oregon City, 50 years ago. For many years he was employed as a millwright at the Crown Willamette paper mill and the Hawley paper mill.



Surviving are his daughters, Mrs. Edna Meilke of Oregon City; Mrs. Emma Smith of Portland, and Mrs. Blanche Meilke of Detroit, Mich., and a brother, James Lennon of Idaho.
