SCRIBNER – The funeral for Allen Boschult, 83, of Scribner, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at United Lutheran Church in Scribner.

Boschult died Wednesday, April 7, 1993, at Madonna Rehabilitation Center in Lincoln.

He was born Dec. 7, 1909, in Washington County and graduated from Scribner High School in 1928. He was a lifelong resident of the area, living in Scribner since 1955. He farmed in rural Scribner 1928 to 1958 and was employed as a carpenter with Fauss Construction Co. in Hooper until 1972. He retired as an insurance agent in 1992 and continued on board of directors for German Mutual Insurance.

Boschult was a member of United Lutheran Church in Scribner, member of the church boards of both United Lutheran Church in Scribner and of St. John’s Ridgely Lutheran Church in rural Scribner, and was on the boards of directors of Fairacres Housing, Milligan Senior Center and German Mutual Insurance Co. He was a past member of Scribner Volunteer Fire Department and was a former District 30 school board member.

He married Katherine Suhr April 27, 1944, in rural Scribner. She survices.

Other survivors include two daughters, Kathleen Archer of Omaha and Mary Boschult of Lincoln; a son, Clark of Grand Island; a granddaughter, four stepgrandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

The Rev. Donna Wright will officiate Saturday’s service. Visitation will be 3 to 9 p.m. today at Spear-Johnson Funeral Home in Scribner. Burial will be at Scribner Cemetery.

Memorials have been established to Milligan Senior Center and United Lutheran Church in Scribner’s elevator fund.
