Nannie Gay Brooks Davis, age 94, of Tappahannock, died Sunday, October 14, 2007.
She was the daughter of John Woodie Brooks and Annie Brizendine Brooks of King and Queen County.
She was the widow of Walter Ryland Davis; and was preceded in death by two siblings, James Ellis Brooks and Columbia Irene Brooks.
She is survived by her daughter, Annie Laura Allen; three grandchildren, Dawn P. Jacobs and her husband, Robert, Wendy A. Hinrichs and her husband, Michael, P. Tory Allen and his wife, Carey; two great-grandchildren, Chelsea and Conner Jacobs; sister-in-law, Gladys Brooks; uncle, Latane Brizendine; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was a devoted member of Lebanon United Methodist Church for 70 years.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 20, 2007 at 1 p.m. in the Marks-Bristow Funeral Home, Tappahannock, VA. Interment will follow in Essex Cemetery.
