Anna June Westmoreland Chism, 92, of Chattanooga, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2021, at a local health care facility with her family by her side. Anna was a 1946 graduate of Central High School and she became an LPN, working as a nurse with the Veteran’s Administration. She was a member of the Canaan Baptist Church and she had a servant’s heart for her Lord and Savior. Anna enjoyed quilting, cooking, making jewelry, and she cherished spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Westmoreland; son, Bill Westmoreland; parents, Albert and Edith Cunningham; brother, Vaden Cunningham; and sister, Frances Turley.

Survivors include her children, Vivian (Charles) Gray, Terry (Gayle) Westmoreland, Dorothy (Chuck) Morgan, Tresha (Robert) Payne, Donna Sue (Donald) McFarland, and Cindy (Ricky) Cooper; ten grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and ten great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 18th at 11:00a.m. at Canaan Baptist Church 4318 13th Avenue Chattanooga, TN 37407 with Pastor Joe Gill officiating. Mrs. Chism will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church.

Interment will be in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5-8p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville, GA.WIFE OF WESTMORELAND, CHARLES RAYMOND
