Born Dec. 4, 2005, to Amanda N. Pittman and Roderick Berry, Kira was the most beautiful little girl whose smile lit up a room and stole your heart. She will be dearly missed by her big brother, Brenton, and her little sister, Nikaya, for the rest of their lives. We find comfort in the fact that she is in her mother's arms and in our Father's house forever.

Kira died on Sunday, Oct. 14, 2007, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident. Kira's mother, Amanda N. Esskew Pittman, also died in this accident.

Kira is survived by her father, Roderick Berry; paternal grandparents, Eddie Berry and Patricia Berry, both of Independence; and maternal grandparents, Scott and Bonnie Pittman of Tunica, and James Esskew and spouse, Jennifer Esskew and their children, Sarah, Mathue, Joshua and Zachary Esskew, all of Rockhill, S.C.; her big brother, Brenton Thurman; her little sister, Nikaya Pittman; her aunt, Patti Sue Pittman; great- great-grandmother, Virginia Vessell; and numerous aunts and uncles, including Uncle Tirrell Berry, and cousins. Kira will be buried with her mother, Amanda N. Esskew Pittman.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Francis Irvine; great-grandfather, Lenord Mitchell Sr.; and great-uncle, Brian Irvine.

Services will be conducted at First Baptist Church of St. Francisville on Thursday, Oct. 18, with visitation from 10 a.m. until religious service at 2 p.m. Burial in Rogillio Cemetery, Tunica. Arrangements by Charlet Funeral Home, 4230 High St., Zachary.
