G. W. Bennett burial at Hope
George William Bennett, 85, passed away at his residence on South Union January seventh. Services were held January eighth at the New Hope Methodist Church with Rev. Leslie Nabors officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery under the direction of Lee Funeral Home.
Born in Montgomery County, Mr. Bennett was married to the late Oma Peters. He was a member of the New Hope Methodist Church.
He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Mary Collins, Mrs. Isabell Hutchens and Mrs. Clara Crow all of Winona and one brother, Marshall Bennett of Jackson.
Pallbearers were Scott Adams, Oscar Adams, Dock Collins, Cecil Bennett, Gary Moore, and J. T. Williams.
