Funeral services for Shannon Lea Klopp, 31, of Trace Fork, were held November 25, 2007 at the Colson Bible Church. Burial was in the Klopp and Seals Cemetery at Trace Fork.
A daughter of Linda Sturgill Burton Seals of Trace Fork and the late Shane Burton, she was born in Letcher County. She died November 21, 2007 at Holston Valley Hospital in Kingsport, Tenn.
Mrs. Klopp was a registered nurse and worked at Wellmont Hospital in Jenkins. She was also a firefighter for the Kentucky Division of Forestry, and a member of the Colson Bible Church and the Kentucky Nurses Association.
She was a granddaughter of the late Ed and Juanita Dingus Sturgill and the late Dixie Stidham Burton, and a sister of the late Michael Shane Burton.
Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband, Lonnie Klopp; two daughters, Sarah Kay Klopp and Breanna Nichole Klopp, both of Trace Fork; her stepfather, James Seals, Trace Fork; her grandfather, Winston Burton, Eolia; her mother-in-law, Lydia Klopp Gibson, Mallie; a brother, Michael Auburn Burton, Eolia; a sister, Jessica Burton Holmes, Eolia; and a niece, Lexus Holmes, Eolia.
