A native of Clay County, she was the daughter of the late James Arthur and Ina Maney Bradley. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed embroidery, crocheting and loved cooking. She was a member of Tusquittee Church of God.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Pearl Gibson, who died in 1995; a son, Virgil Gibson; two brothers, Kenneth Dee Bradley and David Bradley; and one sister, Lacy Stroud.
Surviving are five daughters, Roberta Ledford and husband Curtis of Hayesville, Jo Ann Davis and husband Terry of Hiawassee, Ga., Betty Lou Burch and husband Johnny of Hiawassee, Marie Ashe and husband Gary of Clayton, Ga., and Judy Lynn Gibson of Hayesville; two sisters, Thelma Loftis and Della Mae Patterson, both of Hayesville; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, at the Frank Rose Sr. Memorial Chapel in Hayesville, with the Rev. Curtis Ledford and Bishop Raburne Wilson officiating. Music was provided by Persimmon Church of God, Gary Taylor and Jim Nixon. Burial was in the Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery in Hayesville. Pallbearers were grandsons, Terry Ledford, Tony Ledford, Stacy Moss, Derek Burch, Eugene Ashe, John Eller and Matthew Eller.
