She graduated from Newton High School in 1963 and moved to Des Moines; Polk County, Iowa in 1966. Connie worked at the Embassy Club in Des Moines for 32 years. In 1974 she married Ronald Nelson in Las Vegas; Clark County, Nevada. Constance Delores (Ashby) Nelson, age 63, passed away at her home on Sunday; October 14, 2007, following a lingering illness. Those left to mourn her passing are: Her husband: Ron. Her son: Casey. Her parents: Stanley and Barbara Ashby of Kellogg; Jasper County, Iowa and her brother: Larry & his wife: Roxie Ashby of Newton, Iowa. A memorial gathering will be held from: 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday; October 20, 2007 at the funeral home. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, October 21 at the Kellogg Christian Church in Kellogg, Iowa. A coffee fellowship will held at the church following the service. Private interment will be at the Bethel Cemetery in Lynnville; Warren County, Iowa at a later date.
