Mona "Joan" Durham, 94 years of age, stepped on a rainbow and went to be with our Lord on January 2, 2021. She was born in Pine Township, Indiana on April 19, 1926, to George Lamb and Laura Bell (Read) Lamb.

After graduating from Attica High School, she went to work in Washington D.C. for the war effort. Returning to Indiana she settled in Indianapolis, Indiana where she met her husband of 52 years, Jack Durham, dancing at the Indiana Roof Ballroom. They were married June 12, 1949.

She worked at NK Hurst Bean Company as a bookkeeper and later Southside Cold storage.

Joan was a member of Olive Branch Christian Church in Indianapolis and a past member of the Eastern Star. She and her husband attended the First Presbyterian church of Port Charlotte with their daughter and son-in-law, after moving to Florida.

They lived in Indianapolis until 1995 when they decided to stop snow-birding and move permanently to Port Charlotte, Fl. During their retirement years they enjoyed traveling, cruising, and attending Navy and High School reunions. In her later years, Joan was an avid crocheter and needle pointer. She also enjoyed reading Danielle Steele novels. Joan was affectionally called "MoJo" by her Florida family and friends.
