SHIRLEY JUNE PRATER
Shirley June Prager, age 71, of DeMotte, passed away at 7:59 pm Monday, Feb. 9, 1998, at St. Anthony Nursing Home in Crown Point. She is survived by; one dauther, Ann Vaugh of DeMotte; two sons, William E. Prater, and Chillie (Lena) Prater, Jr., both of DeMotte; 10 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Kay, and one grandson, Kelly. Graveside services were held at 2:30 pm Feb. 12, at Family Service Group, Todd-Steinke Chapel, DeMotte. Shirley June Hanselman was born Feb. 9, 1927, in Knox, the daughter of Shirley Edward and Grace B. (nee Logos) Hanselman. She married Chilli Prater on Apr. 10, 1944, in Knox, and he preceded her in death on June 10, 1996. A resident of DeMotte since having moved from Knox in 1952, she was a homemaker and a member of Fair Oaks Christian Church.
