Mrs. Agnes M. Freese, 90, of 1528 First St., LaPorte, died Tuesday, March 11, 2003, at 3:23 pm at LaPorte Hospital following a brief illness. She was born April 10, 1912, in LaPorte to Robert and Dorothy (Gaekle) Williams, and was a lifelong resident of LaPorte. Mrs. Freese was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the St. Joseph Rosary Society and was a 1930 graduate of LaPorte High School. On Feb 25, 1933, in LaPorte, she married Clyde R. Freese, who preceded her in death on March 15, 1982. Also preceding her in death were her parents; one son, Clyde Jr.; one sister Margaret Rosentreter; and one brother, Robert Williams. Surviving are two daughters, Jacqueline (Dave) Anderson of South Bend and Mary Freese of Springville; four granddaughters, Judy (Tom) Rossow, Sue Anderson, Jacqueline Anderson and Lora (Steve) Loche; three grandsons, Dave (Chris) Anderson, Jim (Connie) Anderson and Rob (Elaine) Anderson; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Helen Szawara of Michigan City; and several nieces nephews. A funeral Mass will be Saturday at 9 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Ted Nordquist officiating. Friends may call Friday from 3 to 8 pm at Essling Funeral Home with a wake service at 7 pm., and Saturday from 8 to 8:30 am. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery following the service.
